Madonna released the video for the second single from her twelfth studio album, MDNA (as of today officially out worldwide).
Black and white “Girl Gone Wild” video was the directorial debut of fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Arianne Phillips, Madonna’s long time stylist, and hair artist Andy Lecompte helped Madonna created three sexy personas: “Super Vixen”, “Rockstar” and “Bombshell” and custom made outfits for each of them. Peep the behind the scenes video for more details and close-ups of some of the outfits and accessories (including Cross Earrings by Alexis Bittar and Alexander Wang“Shelly” boots).
The Printed Metal Mesh MDNA T-Shirt “Rockstar” Madonna wears in the great part of the video was custom made for her by Michael Schmidt.
For the “wall dancing” scenes Madonna wanted a pair of shoes as high as possible yet to be able to dance with them on. Paola Bay from the Italian footwear label Zoraide, who custom made the black silk pumps embroidered with silver thread, told Style.com they “did three fittings to make sure they were like second skin” before this bespoke pair was finished.
Breathtakingly plastique hotties Oleg Zhezhel, Artur Gaspar, Kyryll Fedorenko and Francesco Borgato from Ukrainian quartet Kazaky, choreographed by Tabitha D’Umo, danced in Christian Louboutin booties custom spiked by Michael Schmidt.
Madonna visited Facebook offices in NYC on Friday to answer her fan questions about the album and herself during a livestream interview moderated by Jimmy Fallon.
She wore another MDNA t-shirt with “Girl Gone Wild” arm warmers and a pair of perfectly fitting lycra pants with zipper detail. Silver tone jewelry, Stud Belt by Party Rock Clothing and perforated leather “Shelly” sculpted wedge ankle boots by Alexander Wang (you can get at Net-a-Porter, Barneys or Saks) completed the look.
