Rita Ora tweeted a picture of herself wearing an awesome super-slashed denim ensemble by Vivienne Westwood that makes us travel more than twenty years back in time.
This combo (also featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum Vivienne Westwood exhibition: “A Life In Fashion”) belongs to Vivienne Westwood hand-cut gashes and frayed edges rich SS 1991 “Cut, Slash and Pull” collection based on a “16th century mania for cutting and pricking fabric which lasted for 200 years, apparently inspired by a battle”. A technique of creating a decorative pattern, new “space” and volume, giving “depth” to the fabric.
I’m in love.
Rita accessorized this vintage treasure with her favourite lipstick red Chanel Chain Around Bag and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.
I was just about to finish when I saw the newest photos Rita shared via Facebook.
Underneath the vintage denim jacket it was one of the t-shirts from A Bathing Ape x Play Comme Des Garçons 2012 Capsule Collection.
